Managing Recipes in Qwizeen

The recipe management feature in Qwizeen allows users to efficiently create, edit, and organize recipes for their operations. Here’s a step-by-step guide to managing recipes:

Viewing Recipes

  1. Navigate to the Recipes Page:
    • From the sidebar menu, click on Recipes under the “Back Office” section.

  2. Browse or Search Recipes:
    • The page displays a list of recipes with details such as photo, name, type, status, and available actions.
    • Use the search bar to locate recipes by name.

Adding a Recipe

  1. Access the Add Recipe Page:
    • On the Recipes page, click the pink Add Recipe button in the top right corner.

  1. General Info:
    • Enter the recipe title and description.
    • Upload an image for the recipe (optional).
    • Set the recipe status as Active or Inactive.

  2. Ingredients:
    • Select the recipe size (e.g., small, medium, large).
    • Add ingredients by selecting from the dropdown menu or adding new ones.
    • Specify the quantity, unit, preparation time, and cooking time for each ingredient.
    • Define serving time (optional).

  3. Inventory Items:
    • Link ingredients to inventory items by searching for existing ones or creating new ones.

  4. Cooking Instructions:
    • Add step-by-step instructions with titles and descriptions for each step.
    • Optionally upload images for each step.

  5. Save the Recipe:
    • Click the Add button to save the recipe.

Editing a Recipe

  1. Locate the Recipe:
    • On the Recipes page, find the recipe you want to edit.
  2. Edit the Recipe:
    • Click the Edit icon (pencil) in the “Actions” column.
    • Update any details, including general info, ingredients, inventory items, or cooking instructions.


  3. Save Changes:
    • Click the Save button to apply your updates.

Deleting a Recipe

  1. Locate the Recipe:
    • On the Recipes page, find the recipe you want to delete.
  2. Delete the Recipe:
    • Click the Delete icon (trash can) in the “Actions” column.
    • Confirm the deletion in the popup window. Note: Deletion is permanent.

Tips for Managing Recipes

  • Keep recipe names consistent and descriptive for easier organization.
  • Use high-quality images to make recipes visually appealing.
  • Regularly review and update recipes to ensure accuracy and relevance.
  • Deactivate recipes that are no longer in use instead of deleting them for better record-keeping.
